Because of its significant contributions to LEED and its inherent green characteristics, precast concrete offers an excellent platform on which creative project teams can base their sustainable design plans. This course will show you what categories in the LEED Rating Systems the precast professional should be aware of and how your products may contribute to an overall certificate strategy.

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Define green building, sustainable design and the
• role of U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)
• Identify the core concepts of LEED and the various rating systems, including how points are achieved
• Describe the environmental attributes of precast concrete and how they are quantified in the LEED rating systems
• Document requirements of LEED rating systems
